ACQUISITION INFORMATION:The collection was a gift from A. Dale Northrup to the Ryerson and Burnham Archives in 1995.

HISTORICAL NOTE:
This collection was compiled by A. Dale Northrup during the course of his research for the book Frank Lloyd Wright in Michigan (1991).

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE:
The bulk of the collection consists of photocopied correspondence between architect Frank Lloyd Wright and his clients, and correspondence between A. Dale Northup and Wright's clients or the current owners of the homes. A few photographs and blueprints documenting Wright's Michigan projects complete the collection.

ORGANIZATION AND ARRANGEMENT:
Items are grouped into two categories: projects and miscellaneous. Projects are arranged alphabetically by location; miscellaneous materials are arranged chronologically.
