Bevis, Mildred B., Notebook of Designs for the Kalo Shop, c.1910-1913 Bevis, Mildred B., Notebook of Designs for the Kalo Shop, c.1910-1913 Mildred Belle Bevis was a pupil at the Kalo Art-Craft Community in Park Ridge, Ill. about 1910, when she subsequently taught in the silversmithing school. The notebook contains pencil and pen sketches for metal jewelry, tableware and accessory pieces. The designs apparently predate her marriage to Mr. Hanks in 1913.
